Ministerial delegation to Geneva

The government has appointed a top ministerial delegation led by Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe to counter any allegations that would take place at the forthcoming UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva, scheduled to be commenced on September 12, this year.

According to the External Affairs Ministry, the members of the delegation are, Ministers Prof. G. L. Peiris, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and government parliamentarian Sajin de Vaas Gunawardena.
