"Chuty Putha” apprehended

Sanath Chandana Silva alias “Chuty Putha” was apprehended by the Kalutara police this morning and remanded after being produced in Court. The suspect was wanted by the police after he escaped from the Mount Lavinia Court complex on 26th January.

The suspect was taken into custody by the police while he was in possession of an illegal “Rambo knife” under the assumed name of Dillan Gallage.(Ananda Weerasuriya)
