hear this: 20 insurance companies, avg of 30 accidents reported to them, thats 600/day 18,000 accidents a month, 219,000 a year. If you take an avg of Rs 25,000 for the accident repair, total cost Rs. 5,475,000,000. What an economic cost/loss......??????? forget about accounting the loss of life.

I think you have got your facts wrong..kotaleeya is beyond Polonnaruwa on Batticaloa road. so what was that bus doing there if it was heading to Polonnaruwa from Colombo?

What a poor quality accident. The death toll is seriously not enough. Wish it was a whole bus load of school children and all of them died....ha ha only then will our ministers wake up.
