Two more Covid-19 related deaths were reported today taking the death toll to 118, the Government Information Department said.
It said a male aged 72 and a female aged 81 are among the deceased.
Accordingly, a 72-year-old male from Galaha succumbed to the virus on admission to the Peradeniya hospital while an 81-year-old female, a resident of Atalugama was reported dead at her residence.
The cause of death of the male was Covid-19 infection resulting in cardiac arrest while the female passed away due to high blood pressure, diabetes exacerbated by Covid-19 infection. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
