A 28-year-old suspect was arrested with 1 kg of heroin which has the street value of Rs. 12 million at Dematapitiya in Marawila last evening, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said.
He said the suspect, a resident of Lunuwila, would be produced in the Marawila Magistrate's Court today.(Darshana Sanjeewa)

If he was dressed up like a Santa with the gunny bag full of dope on the shoulders heading out to the parliament to deliver small amounts as gifts ... he would not have been caught !! This is what happens when use of a three-wheeler instead of a sledge !!

Dear Sir, Could we know what's happening to all the drugs that are caught. Are these stored in the government analysis office with easy access to be collected by the same dealer. Show to the world that we are catching drugs but goes back to the same person by paying a commission. With the current technology you could seize, film and destroy on the spot.
