Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa today in Parliament asked UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa in lighter vein to be patient as next presidential election is still far away.
Mr. Rajapaksa told this to Mr. Premadasa as he was making a lengthy statement on the Sri Lankan film industry.
Mr. Premadasa was responding to a question raised by Mr. Rajapaksa during a previous session.
The dialogue began when Speaker Karu Jayasuriya advised Mr. Premadasa about managing time. Mr. Premadasa then responded to Speaker saying a detailed answer should be given to Former President. Then Mr. Rajapaksa who responded said Mr. Premadasa should be patient as there is a long time more for the next presidential election.
“ Oh so, do you also think about presidential elections?” Mr. Premadasa quipped. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardardene)
