Major General Sumedha Perera (Rtd) has informed the Secretary to the President asking that he be relieved of his duties as the Agriculture Ministry Secretary due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.
“I informed this to the Secretary to the President last Monday (15). However, I have neither tendered my resignation as yet nor have I been in communication with the President regarding the matter as published by certain media outlets,” he said.
