IGP C.D. Wickramaratne today ordered Senior Superintendents of Police, Assistant Superintendents of Police and OICs to implement a special security mechanism near churches and places of worship in view of Christmas celebrations.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the officers have been instructed to consult the clergy of the respective churches and places of worship and execute this special security plan, especially on December 24 and 25.

That's BS !! Absolutely NO protection!! Christians are vulnerable in SL. Having intelligence reports govt and authorities NEVER acted to avert Easter Sunday terrorist attacks!! Huh!!

Churches should have requested prior registrations to attend Mass. Then the identity can be checked before allowing in the church and only those who registered will attend. This can be followed for New Year Masses and all Sunday masses until the situation improves

In the thirty year war, thousands of civilians got killed by Sri Lankan military, Indian Army, LTTE terrorists, and other Tamil terrorists. In this context we have to have some balance about few hundred Catholics dying in the Muslim terrorism. We are tired about this Easter attack news all the time.
