Historically the position of Attorney General was created for a civilian to be in charge of all aspects of prosecutions and law enforcement. But unfortunately when it came to law enforcement because of the nature of the uniform branches that played the operational role, the Attorney Generals all over the world played a timid second fiddle to the hard law enforcement operatives. What we are seeing in Sri Lanka is unique,an Attorney General trying to live up to the original noble ideals for which it was created. BRAVO! .
