13 PNB officers re-remanded

The 13 Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) officers who were arrested for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking were further remanded until September 28 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.

If they have traded in drugs, they should also be severely punished.

Punishment is a deterrent tool to minimise foolishness, ignorance and crimes. Sri Lanka lacks deterrent tools to guide the people, but Singapore has plenty of deterrent laws, including death penalty for drugs trafficking. No wonder why Singapore is continuing to move forward.
