12 hour water cut in Colombo

Water supply to several areas would be interrupted from 8.00 pm today to 8.00 am tomorrow due to the laying of new pipe lines, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced.

The areas affected would be Kotahena, Mattakkuliya, Modera, Madampitiya, Mahawatte, Thotalanga, Grandpass, Bloemendhal road, Layards Broadway, Kotuwila, Sedawatte, Main Street Colombo and all by roads and a section from Wimaladharma clock tower on N.H.M. Abdul Kadar Mawatha to the Beach Street

The Water Board said that it regretted the inconvenience caused to the public and requested them to collect their requirement of water in advance.
