Hype Studio and Hype Events take the initiative to launch “Click”, a photography exhibition with a group of talented photographers who will showcase their collection of images communicating something extraordinary, about simple and ordinary things, objects, scenes, and events.
The exhibition will take place on 26 January 2020 at Hype Studio, Colombo 03 and is powered by Metropolitan and Canon, who will display their newest products for sale at the event.
Rukaiya Riza, an intern in Sales and Marketing, has been fascinated with colour, lenses and angles for as long as she can remember. Her photographs aim to tell a story whether it is a perception, dream or an emotional state.
Sewwandi Abhayaratne's journey in photography included studying at the Photography Society of Sri Lanka, The National Photographic Art Society of Sri Lanka and the National Association of Photographers in Sri Lanka.
Tony Careem has a roving eye to capture the inner beauty of nature’s gifts and spot creative minds that leave a lasting legacy. He works in the technology industry but photography has always been one of his part time hobbies. The old adage “a picture says a thousand words” stays true in his mind.
Vithurshan Sharma is a studying Mechanical engineering in Latvia and is a self-taught landscape and travel photographer who loves vivid surreal fine art photography. His photography focuses on landscapes and exotic locations and his editing brings out vibrant imagery – some natural and some not.
Dilanjan Seneviratne is a Marketer, photographer, filmmaker and a producer. His photography work is best known for his simple and revealing portraits. His humanist approach may set him apart from the other photographers as he privileges the soul and the personality over modern standards of beauty. He believes that great creativity often is the result of team effort and values working closely with everyone as he infuses his work with his own lust for life.
Razwan Rasseedeen is Director – Client Services at Sysdek Pvt Ltd and is a freelance photographer. He is mostly interested in Landscape and Wild Life Photography and has been enjoying photography as a hobby for many years.
Migara Wijesinghe works in Corporate Communications for London Stock Exchange Group. He is an automobile and wildlife enthusiast with a passion for photography and the great outdoors. His subjects for photographs mainly revolves around Sri Lanka’s largest predator, The Sri Lankan Leopard. When not in the jungle, he is most likely to be found under a starry night trying his luck with long exposures for pictures of the night sky or having a go at self-portraiture at home.
Salika Peiris is a student of Photography and her main focus is on nature as her subject. Her goal is to extract and expose the “Natural art” that is all around us. She hopes that the images she captures will inspire others to appreciate and care for the world around us.
Ayshcharya Pinto is a freelance photographer based in Sri Lanka. Her passion for travel sparked her interest in travel and street photography a few years ago. Ahamed Nizar was inspired by his sister, a professional commercial and documentary photographer, and therefore entered the world of hobby photography at an early age. His main focus is on travel photography and portraits both directed and candid.
Kulendra Janaka works as a product manager at LSEG Technology and has been a hobbyist photographer for the past 12-13 years. Interesting story: 'losing all my gear in a capsising boat and having to cut a trip to Borneo short because of it.
Shehan Trek (EFIAP, PPSA, GPU “HERMES”,GPU-VIP2,GPU CR-2, cMOL, AISF, AAPS, FOPS, FSAP, GPA.PESGSPC, HonPESGSPC, HON.CPE, G.APS, ANPAS, LNAPSL) is a banker by profession in Sri Lanka. Photography is his passion and keeps his creativity alive. He is a huge fan of travel photography and travels to exotic and remote locations and nature and landscapes as well.
Dineth Alahakoon is a keen travel photograper “the world as I see it” is Dineth’s tagline, a serious hobby during any free time he can find. Dineth handles the Finance at their business Country Style Foods Ltd.
