SLPP suspends major election rallies for three-days

  • Propaganda rallies scheduled to be attended by PM and President suspended
  • SLPP candidates requested to limit all meetings

In view of the current situation, SLPP organiser Basil Rajapaksa had instructed to suspend the upcoming SLPP election rallies 


to be attended by President and the Prime Minister.   

Steps have been taken to suspend all propaganda rallies scheduled to be attended by the SLPP leader, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on July 13, 14 and 15.   
In addition, Basil Rajapaksa had requested the SLPP candidates to limit all meetings and pocket meetings.
