The government will re-demarcate the boundaries of the Colombo District covering the landmass reclaimed from the sea under the Port City Project as part of it, Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said yesterday.
He told that it had to be done in keeping with the Administrative District Act. He said the process was intended to be completed by May this year. “We have to re-demarcate the boundaries of Colombo. It has to be done with parliamentary approval. The Port City boasts a landmass of 269 hectares,”
he said.
