The government’s parliamentary group today decided to call for the appointment of a parliament select committee (PSC) to investigate the Easter Sunday suicide bomb attacks.
The decision has been made at a meeting of the government’s parliamentary group which was held at the parliamentary complex this afternoon.
Informed sources told the Daily Mirror that some of the UNP MPs have informed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe that they will vote in favour of the no-confidence motion that had been brought against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen.
The Prime Minister had then proposed the appointment of a select committee to look into the suicide bombings.
He had also proposed that the select committee can summon Minister Bathiudeen and probe whether he had any links with the National Thowheed Jamath. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)

From these happenings, anyone can guess what the attitude of Ranil and the UNP (except some) towards the proposed NCM against Badiudin.
