Over 95,000 PCR tests conducted in Sri Lanka

A total number of 95,087 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests have been conducted in Sri Lanka as of June 20 with 827 tests conducted yesterday, the Health Promotion Bureau (HPB) said.

It also said that no Covid-19 infected patient was reported yesterday.

A total of 1,950 Covid-19 infected persons were reported so far, while 1,475 patients of them completely recovered.

    Not even half a percent of the population. At least there should be 10000 tests a day.

    Please consider the number of cases against the testing is very low as at 0.2%. Therefore don't just suggest to increase number of tests like bull in the china shop.

    Nothing to boast about. With a similar population of 22 million people as Sri Lanka as at 21 June 2020 a country like Australia has conducted over 2 million tests to Sri Lanka's 95,000 PCR tests. The covid 19 virus is a very serious pandemic and you cannot be fooling around with dodgy statistics. No wonder Sri Lanka's numbers are very low and don't add up.
