China seeks to improve bilateral relations with Sri Lanka

China has sought to improve its bilateral relations with Sri Lanka to form comprehensive strategic partnership, Daily Mirror learns.

This was discussed when Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on President Gotabaya on January 14. The two countries already enjoy strategic partnership cooperation.

In diplomatic terms, comprehensive strategic partnership makes bilateral cooperation all dimensional, multi-layered and wide ranging. It will cover not only security and political matters but also other aspects such as cooperation on culture.

The two countries have already established ‘strategic partnership’ which means all-weather friendship. China has formed comprehensive strategic partnership with many countries in the world including the European Union.

The Chinese Minister’s visit was aimed at laying the ground work for President Rajapaksa’s visit to Beijing next week. The dates have not yet been fixed for the meeting. (Kelum Bandara)

Please do not have too close contact with China. This country is a cruel dictatorship with the worst human rights standard in the world. In comparison, Sri Lanka has a high standard. China keeps over a million innocent people in concentration camps just because they belong to an ethnic minority. All citizens are monitored around the clock there. No honest country should partner with such a criminal country. I only feel sorry for the normal Chinese citizens who have to live in such a hell.

Forget China. The sneaky bastards only want all of Sri Lanka. More loans we never can pay back so they can rob everything here just like they do in African countries and South America.

At one time they could not pay For the rubber they bought and offered to cultivate and ship dried chillies to us thanks to our politicians we are now we have to be led by them
