Calling Armed Forces to maintain public order: Gazette re-issued

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has re-issued an extraordinary gazette notification declaring all the members of the Armed Forces to maintain public order in the country with effect from May 22.

Earlier, the President has issued the Gazette by virtue of the powers vested in him by Section 12 of the Public Security Ordinance (Chapter 40).
