Additional portfolio for Bathiudeen

Assigned with Vocational Training, Skills Development subject

Vocational Training and Skills Development subject, which was under the purview of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has been assigned to Minister Rishad Bathiudeen with effect from March 18, a gazette notification stated.

They were reported to have resigned from their previous portfolios and sworn-in before the President in the new portfolios on Monday (18)

Accordingly, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe will function as Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs while Rishad Bathiudeen will function as the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons, Co-operative Development and Vocational Training and Skills Development.
