The Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) is disappointed that the president had not released BBS General Secretary the Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera on February 4, National Organizer Ven. Vitharandeniya Nanda Thera said yesterday.
He told a media conference after handing over a letter to the Attorney General’s Department that Ramanna Nikaya, Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela, Kotte Sri Kelayani Samagi Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha, Mahanayakes of the Asgiriya Chapter and the Malwatte Chapters and several ministers sent letters to President Maithripala Sirisena asking that Gnanasara Thera be released.
“We will continue to seek a pardon for Gnanasara Thera from President and make the people aware why he was remanded and the false allegations made against him,” Nanda Thera said.
