People’s Movement to Protect Schools held a signature campaign outside the Fort Railway Station demanding that the national education system be safeguard.The movement asked that an equivalent of 6% of the Gross Domestic Product be allocated for education and urged that the collection of money from the parents be stopped. The demonstrators said about 35,000 of rural schools were at danger. Pix by Nisal Baduge
