Come on the educated jokers from FUTA. Finish of one job and them go to the next. The basic principal of decline.

Come on all kind of lackeys to your disappointed FUTA is back in the scene ! Now start you second stage of mudslinging!

Very true, those whose kids are lack of intelligent and cannot compete with poor family students blame free education. see around the country and cricket team, No change for poor in cricket team, Do not make it in education too.

They seem that they don't get their salary increased as they requested/. So they started bullying the common people by showing 6% GDP and behind the screen to increase their salary.

FUTA members! Please do your job (teaching & research) correctly and earn respect of your students & the general public. Then you need not do this kind of campaign.

so what is next ? how about health sector of the country ? they can ask at-least 10% GDP, that is very fare share since we will finish our education by 20-25 years of our lives but health sector has fare share even at our death if we studied or not. same goes to public transport sector of the country. if educators have right to decide how much they should get from GDP same right hold by other national institutions.

So are you the "Educated" all wise person who is going to save Sri Lanka from Social & Economical decline in the future due to decline of education today? Please stop harping for this corrupt mismanaged government.

The is a big difference between bullying and educating... what the government is doing is what is called bullying. Parasites who live of the blood and sweat of the common man and lying to them and cheating them and slowly but surely curtailing their freedom! What FUTA is doing is educating the public, to ask for more investment in Education so that 20 years from Sri Lanka will still have a literacy rate of 93% and a educated workforce! May be the government and government cronies like you don't want that cause it is much easier to control and manipulate an uneducated population, who do not ask questions!

Generally we regret things after many decades. If we cannot understand what FUTA is doing today we will have to regret not doing so may be after 2-3 decades from now. GO on FUTA! Educated people will never give up!

    Nadeesha Tuesday, 23 October 2012 09:10 AM

FUTA is doing their job! It is not limited to teaching and research. It includes protecting the state education for future generations.

Some uneducated people may feel education is a joke.
