Just protesting alone won't do things.Give writen assurancs that five star democracy will be restoe once come to power and presnt new democratic constitution before asking the power .make provsions citizens to first go to the magistrate courts fighgt when their F/righgts are infringed.. Furher Make provisions in the constitution itslf that if the promises given in the election manifestos to be challenged in a court of law and remove them from the parliament.. Inroduce a simple system to check the invidual tansparency. do away with system of declaration of assets and introduce declartaion of
income of every induvidual in order to elimnate the corruption which is rampant in the island.

It is time for the Govt to come forward give some examples of cutting down the unnecessary expenditure. They could start with Mehin Air that is running a loss of billion rupees. They should not be purchasing more air craft but to shut it down.

COMMON MAN Tuesday, 21 February 2012 06:49 AM

If this kind of protest took place when UNP in power, what could have happend?...my mind goes back to UNP era, before 1994....currently all kind of people are enjoying the right to protest...
