Jailed Sarath Fonseka was compelled to cut-short his dock-statement today before the Trial-at-bar of the White Flag case due to a sudden cough he experienced while making the statement.

At the onset of his statement Sarath Fonseka contended that the Sunday Leader news item had distorted his statement and he will never betray his country or the army which he dedicatedly served.

The Trial-at-bar judges ordered the Prison authorities that Sarath Fonseka be shown to Dr. Vajira Tennakoon who treated Sarath Fonseka for the throat ailment earlier and subsequently stopped after he was imprisoned. The trial was postponed for May 19.  (TFT)

Now there is a conflict between the Sunday Leader revelation and the dock statement of SF. Which one are we to believe? Sunday Leader may bring evidence to prove it was so stated otherwise they can end up in the dock too!

What ever said and done he is the person who was in charge when the war was ended by his leadership but you must remember that whatever god you follow, when judgement days arrives we all need to answer to your god whether you are a sinner or not, war veteran, terrorist or a priest. You will be judged on what you did in your time on earth.
