President Mahinda Rajapaksa held talks with President Abdullah Gul of Turkey early hours of today on the sidelines of US sessions, presidential sources in New York said. The Turkish President had commended Sri Lanka’s victory over terrorism and briefed the Sri Lankan President about the separatist problem in Turkey and the need to carry forward the agreements reached during President Rajapaksa’s visit to Turkey in 2008.

Last time also he held talks with same Leaders, but nothing fruitful to the Country. Seems that just having informal talks whenever they meet accidently.

All in all a good thing to counter the missiles aimed at SL by the West. But to emulate these Heads is not a good thing at all.

MR meeting foreign leaders is most welcome and wish him best of success. However, cannot understand what all his side kicks are doing there spending MILLIONS of tax payers money.
