UNP Colombo district candidate Susil Kindelpitiya will be produced at the Aluthkade Magistrates Court today, Police Spokesman S.P Preshantha Jayakody told Daily Mirror Online.

Former Sirasa News Director Kindelpitiya was arrested by the police yesterday morning over a complaint lodged by a woman alleging abuse, harassment and threats.

Initial investigations by the police found that Kindelpitiya had abused several other women. At the time of arrest, a navy deserter and a fire arm were found in the jeep belonging to Kindelpitiya along with the driver, all of whom were taken into custody. (KA)
