UNP MP and Chief Opposition Whip John Amaratunga says he has been invited by the External Affairs Ministry to accompany President Mahinda Rajapaksa to the UN. Amaratunga said he had accepted the invitation.

President Rajapaksa has already left for the US to attend the UN sessions next week while his delegation will leave over the next two days. (KB)

Congratulations to another patriotic politician who is not looking for any perks, but will accept any post to build the nation! Soon this Johnny will also be a Cabinet Minister and Ranil will be the happiest person in the world as he has one less rival to face.
