Gang fires at Principal’s residence

An unidentified gang opened fire at the residence of the Principal of Sangamiththa Girls College, Saraswathi Mangalika Dahanayake in Poddala, Galle.

Police said the gunmen had shot at the main door of the house. The Principal together with her son and husband wereinside the house at the time of the shooting. There were no reports of injuries.

Several posters defaming the Principal were found in front of the main gate of the house. (D.G Sugathapala and Sumathipala Diyagahage)

Why is this type of behavior tolerated in a so called Buddhist country? What are we teaching the future generation? If you dislike or disagree with some one just get a fire arm and destroy the person?

we need to know what the motivation behind this crime, what is the connection between the principal and the assailent, and how the criminal was able to escape?
