Gamini Senarath, who is the Chief of Staff at the presidential office, was appointed as the new Chairman of People’s Bank by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Finance Ministry said today.

Mr. Gamini Senerath served as Deputy Controller of Immigration and Emigration and Commissioner of Motor Vehicles. Mr. Senerath is a distinguished SLAS officer. He serves as Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd and also has been its Director since May 2010. He served as an Acting Chairman at Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd. since May 2010. Mr. Senerath has a honours degree from the Kelaniya University and holds a post graduate degree in Computer Science.

Legally how many jobs is he or any other public servant entitled to do at one given time?
To my knowledge there is a restriction to this.
I am sure they have found some loop hole for this as well.
The Legislature is paid to ensure that these loop holes are properly sealed.
