The government is to introduce Electronic National Identity Cards soon, Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella said today.

    It is pleasant to see the new attractive card.If the card can be read through a computer its excellent. No one can forge their identification. But in Sri Lanka no one trust officials. You can buy two or three identity cards if you have money, like passports.

    Be positive guys! we should encourage things like this. we cant stick with old laminated paper ids anymore. the world has developed so fast. this is the right time to implement electronic id cards in sri lanka.
