The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) is to file legal action against the government for contempt of court as its Leader General Sarath Fonseka was prevented from attending the Parliament consultative committee meetings for the second consecutive day today.

DNA sources said the party had decided to file contempt of court charges as the General had been prevented from attending the meeting despite the court order issued yesterday. (YP)

Stop harassing this war hero. Enough is enough. Ours looks like a country of barbarians. Why don't these people see it? How can we declare to the world that we are a democratic nation with these type of work?

I told you and am telling you again. There are two categories of citizens in Sri lanka; those above the law and those below the law. When those above the law, disobey judicial orders, there is nothing you can do other than to complain to ban ki moon and be labeled a "desha drohi". What a pity!

Gayan Samarasekara Thursday, 22 July 2010 09:43 AM

Gen Fonseka is a legend. But there are many other important matters where JVP, SLMC and other parties should collectively work with UNP to give Sri Lanka a better tomorrow. Pl pay attention on those, rather than just hanging on Gen Fonseka for political survival.
