Colombo Additional Magistrate Prasanna Alwis today ordered CID Inspector Merrill Ranjan to appear before court personally on April 17 as he was not present in court when the Bharatha Lakshman magisterial inquiry came up for hearing.

This follows the earlier order by the court to the CID to inform court on the whereabouts of Parliamentarian Duminda Silva and the steps taken by the CID to arrest him and produce before court. However, it was revealed during the inquiry today that IP Ranjan though present in the court earlier was missing at the time the court called his name.  (TFT)

charge him for contempt of court. HE is NOT above the law. IF as stated he was present in court, he did it on purpose. What an example and its a high profile case. Is he being pushed around so that Dumina is not arrested? I wonder

I know, at the end of the day, the court case will end up with similar results as Nalanda Ellawala killing. We all know who killed him....but finally there is no one killed him.
