CCD to tackle black market ticketing

The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) said that special teams are deployed at ticketing outlets to tackle black market ticket sellers.

CCD sources said that the police is been assisted by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to enhance action to prevent such incidents.

Few days ago two employees of the Sri Lanka Cricket's World Cup Secretariat who sold Rs.50 World Cup tickets for Rs.1300 and Rs1500 for the match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan were arrested in Maligawatta by the CCD on a tip off. (Supun Dias)
