Why only 7- 8 percent? when the diesel price has been reduced by 14.5%. Usually when the fuel price was increased, the percentage increase in the fare was higher than the fuel price increment percentage. When it comes reduction very difficult ah.. Ammapa.. Change of Fare should be fair, at least proportionate..

if all prices are decreased proportionatly, the common mans sallary would also be decreased but in order of that not happening some prices should be kept same and some reduced.

bus fares should be the same everywhere. In Negombo I pay 20 rupees for a 4 km. busride, in Colombo I pay 10 rupees for a 10 km busride.So, reduce the unfair high bus prices and keep a maximum of about 10 rupees.

decrease of prices is to make a better living standard for the common man as you call it. So why you say that if prices are reduced the salary of the common man should be decreased also?
