A wanted person belonging to an organized criminal gang was arrested by the Police Special Task Force (STF) officers today near the Horape railway station in Ragama.
A hand grenade, a dagger, Kerala Cannabis and a car were in possession of the suspect at the time of arrest.
The suspect was identified as Sakeetha Dinesh Kumara aged 34.
He had been wanted by the police for a murder that took place in Ragama in 2016, as well as for threatening, kidnapping, extortion and robbery.
The STF said the Gampaha and Welisara courts had also issued arrest warrants on the suspect.
He was handed over to the Ragama Police for further questionings.

Like those anti social murders must shot at sight. Not merely arrest and get bail out again.
