Issues of Sri Lankan Tamils need quick solutions but if the government fails in giving solutions, the people will feel fed up with this government as well, Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan has said in Vavuniya on Wednesday.
According to PTI, he has said Tamils in Sri Lanka had anticipated a change for the better with President Maithripala Sirisena’s election two years ago, but they are yet to receive solutions to their problems.
"We see a difference in the current government from the past one on their policies, statements and standings, but our people are yet to receive solutions to their problems. It has been over two years since this government came," he said addressing a ceremony to handover houses to people displaced due to the LTTE conflict.

"Sri Lankan Tamils need quick solutions" ? Problems are common to all Sri Lankans, Tamils' especial problems are actually Tamil Politicians' problems. By devolution of powers what did people get so far? PCs and all are Politicians' gain while people are having more problems. Let Tamil people have their own lives like all other Sri Lankans less politicians' Manthra about "PROBLEMS"

Nobody wants anything at the expense of Sinhalese people. Tamils need equality in employment ,development and education and language rights just as much as has Sinhalese ,not as somebody thinks more than Sinhalese or want to have which the Sinhalese do not enjoy .This is what power sharing was mooted out in 1987 ,but it was not implemented due to unwillingness of the government and LTTE

No Sinhala politicians are willing to resolve the Tamil issue. The main trump card these politicians use is Tamil issues for their own agenda. You all remember what MR said immediately after winning the war. 13 plus plus. Now what happened 13 minus minus. Maithiri is no different to Mahinda. Same blood.

Most of the comments are made by Sinhalese and it very clearly shows their ignorant of power sharing OR any brotherhood taught by Buddha. They are still clueless who started this since 1948. This is the reason every government cannot keep their promises and by pass it.

Please be reminded that you politicians' greed with insatiable wants the whole country was plunged into a 30 year war. Now not only Tamils, but Sinhalese are suffering more than any other community.
