UN political chief Jeffrey Feltman will visit Sri Lanka this week, the UN spokesman said Tuesday, after anti-Muslim riots prompted the government to declare a state of emergency.
Feltman, the UN under-secretary-general for political affairs, will arrive Friday for three days of talks with Sri Lankan leaders and is expected to visit Kandy where two people were killed in the violence.
UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the visit was planned before the state of emergency was imposed.
“We are obviously concerned over reports of the ongoing communal violence and we welcome the government’s commitment to addressing the tensions and achieve reconciliation,” he said.
“We urge all Sri Lankans to resolve their difference through dialogue.”(AFP)

why you don't know that all media have reported this and it is public knowledge. No need for anyone to send a crisis call

Already tensions were there for a very long time but some foreign country is the hidden hand that exploited the initial incidents to escalate it quickly to a fully fledged communal riots.

Sri Lankan President has not yet learned what to do for our country. Singapore Liquan-U in 1960 learned lesson from Sri Lanka violence and he taught English Language to every citizen there and law and order kept very seriously. In past 2 weeks what Prez has done to destabilize this country with JO. Why Law and order minister resigned? When UNP proposed SF to this post, why Prez has not agreed? Who came to Kandy to do violence? Who was the man behind this told by Wimal W at parliament ?Why committee is not appointed in parliament like cope to find it?

Urgent Msg - Evil Act Wednesday, 07 March 2018 11:17 AM
Evil is planning to do more violence in SriLanka. Why? Prez and JO had a deal recently to destabilize the govt. by a no confidence motion against PM. This is an evil act. Prez should apologize at least for himself and turn back to support UNP -SLFP government. Otherwise evil will do more violence like in 1983. Tell this msg to Prez immediately.
