Talking big but most of the completed and cases to be inquired are for less than Rs.100,000.- while the big ones are just delayed. Earlier DG said 1700 files were just forgotten in the file racks. Since earlier DG left, no progress has been seen - that is why she was removed.

Strangely no mention of any increase to Bribery Comm account in current budget. They need more trained Police to conduct inquiries. But then tackling corruption is low priority for Yahapalanaya - Yasai Yasai. Good officers pushed out by My3 like former DG.

If this commission is doing a proper job then by now 90% of the politicians and high officials must be in the calaboose. Alas its not so. Therefore this commission too is to catch the sprats while the big fish walks away.
