A Colombo Magistrate today further remanded 18 hardcore LTTE cadres who were allegedly involved in terrorist activities till February 2 in view of the investigations not concluded.

The LTTE cadres were arrested by the security forces following the humanitarian operations while hiding with the civilians at the internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in the North.

Following their arrest by the security forces they were handed over to the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) to carry out investigations.

Consequent to TID investigations those who were found innocent were released while the others were remanded at the end of their detention with the TID. (TFT)

What a joke is this? "18 Top LTTrs", "Hard core LTTE Cadres" - "Investigations not concluded". In case of Tissanayagam it did not take so long for the TID to polish him off in court!
