Good deed Friday, 15 August 2025 01:08 PM
His sudden death must have taught all our politicians a good lesson? Whatever you do during your post and position, please do it but remember life is short and you will remember what good you have done: even after a few years, you will be forgotten even by your children, families and friends so do good and never harm any one even any animals don’t do any harm even your plants and trees in your house garden: make sure in your mind that life is short and your days are already numbered:
Please remember to do good and good alone :
I hope this death is a shocking one for all but our politicians must get some lessons from this death

Not only politicians. It applies to everyone. Anyone will be remembered and it is up to the individual to choose their legacy.

When you hit some one, you must feel the pain as some one is hitting you. One must never use his privileged position or racial identity to harm or cause a loss to others. Never harm others as punishment will come back. Always follow the law, never behave like a rowdy, never hurt and harm others, mind your own business, help anybody you can without discrimination. My advice to all youngsters.

This is also a good lesson to people who villainise these politicians with or without reason, day in day out. Just imagine the daily vitriol flowing from their keyboards. It’s nice not to say anything bad when someone passes away but if they show the same empathy when they were alive how beautiful that would have been!

I have treated him at NHSL recently and realised that health issues were not fake but real. But on a background of politicising every thing non medical pandits of NPP judged it is alcoholic cirrhosis which wasn't really the case. Please stop judging and expressing ideas for political games.
RIP

I remember reading in the newspapers how he assaulted prisoners in Anuradhapura and drove his vehicle recklessly in Kollupitiya and many other incidents. Nobody is above the law and most importantly nobody is above the laws of karma. Anyway, I respect the dead and RIP.

That's so young and shocking to hear. He was a household name for all the wrong reasons and the rebellion of his youth will be his legacy, unfortunately. Nevertheless, Condolences to his loved ones and may God have mercy on his soul.

He was targeted by this government and was put in remand for keeping un unregistered vehicle. But those who burned thousands of vehicles , murdered so many people, robbed banks, ragged many university students inhumanely are now in the Parliament.

@Luxman Maddu: what you trying to suggest? That people should have just not done anything when the country went bankrupt? It was an uprising against the corrupt politicians who bankrupted the country. As to looting and burning houses - it was wrong, but can you imagine how many people lost jobs, didn't have 3 meals a day and saw all these politicians which luxury mansions, luxury cars and enjoying the high life when the ordinary person has nothing? This is nothing new - and has been seen in other countries. Look at the arab spring in all the north african countries etc. Politicians aren't above the law - and when in power they need to realise they are called civil servants for a reason. They are servants and answerable to the public. And by the way since you seem to be sympathising with Lohan by saying he was only investigated because of his car, have you appear to have conveniently forgotten how he misused his powers when abusing prisoners in Anuraddhapura. Any comments?
