Royal-Trinity clash in annual football encounter

Colombo, Dec. 1 (Daily Mirror) - The fifth annual football encounter between Royal College and Trinity College played for the J. R. Jayewardene Challenge Trophy will take place at the Royal College Sports Complex in Colombo tomorrow.

This year's encounters will be played in three age group categories namely Under-16, Under-18 and Under-20.

The Under-18 match will kick-off at 11.00 a.m. followed by the Under-16 match at 1:30 p.m. while the main encounter, the Under-20 fixture will be played at 3.00 p.m.

Last year, Royal won the J. R. Jayewardene Challenge Trophy by beating Trinity 2-0.

The Chief Guest for this match will be the 1976 Royal Skipper, Nirmal de Silva.
