The captains of Lyceum and Musaeus with Champion Trophies |
Lyceum, Colombo and Musaeus ‘A’ Team clinched the Boys’ and Girls’ Elite ‘A’ Division Championship respectively at the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association Under-17 Tournament held at the St. Thomas’ Indoor Stadium in Bandarawela.
Richmond College secured the runners-up position in the Boys’ Tournament while Anura BMV, Nugegoda emerged runners-up in the Girls’ Tournament.
Results‘A’ Division Boys’ champions: Ananda ‘A’. Runners-up: St. Anthony’s, Katugastota.
‘A’ Division Girls’ champions: Lyceum, Wattala. Runners-up: Sirimavo Bandaranaike BMV.
‘B’ Division Boys’ champions: St. Benedict’s, Runners-up: St. John’s, Nugegoda.
‘B’ Division Girls’ champions: Dharmapala MV, Pannipitiya. Runners-up: P. de S. Kularatne MV, Ambalangoda.
‘C’ Division Boys’ champions: Wesley, Runners-up: Sri Sumangala, Panadura.
Girls’ champions: Viharamaha Devi BMV, Badulla, Runners-up: Sujatha BMV, Nugegoda.
‘D’ Division Boys’ champions: Ananda Sastralaya, Kotte, Runners-up: Badulla MMV.
‘D’ Division Girls’ champions: Gothami BMV, Runners-up: Holy Cross, Gampaha.
‘E’ Division Boys’ champions: Royal, Polonnaruwa, Runners-up: Seevali MMV, Ratnapura.
Girls’ champions: St. Paul’s Girls School, Runners-up: Holy Family Convent, Panadura.
