Holy Cross College, Gampaha emerged Girls ‘C’ Division champions at the All-Island Inter-Schools Under-19 Badminton Team Championships conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association and concluded at the Royal College Indoor Badminton Stadium in Colombo.
Holy Cross had a plain sail to the top beating Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda 2-1 and Hindu Ladies’ College 3-0 in the preliminary round.
In the semi-finals they beat St. Bridget’s 3-0 and in the final they defeated Sujatha Vidyalaya 3-1 to be crowned as ‘C’ Division champions.
