Two fine knocks by Thevindu Wewalwala and Himaru Deshan paved the way for Colombo South U17 to record a 28-run win over Dambulla U17 in the U17 Sri Lanka Youth League limited-overs tournament encounter played at the Galle Stadium. Thevindu made 84, inclusive of seven boundaries and a six, while Himaru made an unbeaten 80 with ten boundaries, and the pair came to the rescue of the side when they were struggling on 63/5 by putting on a 132-run stand for the sixth wicket to help them end with a score of 226/6.
