CBL Group Chairman Ramya Sanath Amaraweera Wickramasingha passes away

Colombo, June 06 (Daily Mirror) - Ramya Sanath Amaraweera Wickramasingha, Chairman of CBL Group, has passed away, the company said in a statement expressing profound sorrow at the loss of its longtime leader.

Paying tribute to its Chairman, CBL Group described Wickramasingha as a visionary who dedicated his life not only to building a successful business but also to nurturing a community founded on care, integrity, and innovation. Under his leadership, the company said, Sri Lanka gained greater recognition on the global stage, while his kindness and humanity touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

“He dedicated his life to building not only a company but a community rooted in care, integrity, and innovation. His vision placed Sri Lanka on the global map, while his kindness and humanity touched the lives of all who knew him,” the company said.

CBL Group noted that Wickramasingha was more than a corporate leader, describing him as a mentor, a father figure, and a source of inspiration to employees and associates throughout the organization.

While acknowledging that his passing leaves a profound void, the company said the values and principles he embodied would continue to guide its future.

“His memory remains forever cherished and may we carry forward his legacy with love and pride,” the statement said.
