TTASL gears up for South Asian Youth Tourney

The entries for the fourth South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships will  close on April 15. The tournament organised by the Table Tennis  Association of Sri Lanka (TTASL) and the Asian Table Tennis Association will be held from May 26 to 29 at the Municipal Council Indoor Stadium in Kandy.  
The entry forms were submitted to all South Asian countries on March 1, TTASL Organising Committee Chairman and former TTASL President Chandana Perera revealed yesterday.  
The tournament will be conducted in the Junior – Under-19 and Cadet – Under-15 Boys’ and Girls’ categories.  
Meanwhile, one official from each South Asian country will participate and they will join 15 local umpires, who are set to officiate throughout this event.  
The provincial-level selection trials are currently underway, and the 15-member Sri Lankan contingent will be selected before April 15 after the final selection trial.  
The TTASL will need a sum of Rs. 20m to conduct this tournament.
