Shivali and Ming claim ITF tennis titles

Gurung Shivali of Nepal retained the Girls’ Singles title when she defeated Sri Lanka’s Annaya Norbert in the final of the ITF Asia Under-14 South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia Development Week 2 Tennis Tournament, which continued at the SLTA Courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.
In the Boys’ Singles final Pak Nicholas Ming of Singapore staved off the challenge of Castigador Anthony of the Philippines with an easy victory to emerge champion.

Girls’ Singles final: Gurung Shivali (Nepal) beat Annaya Norbert (Sri Lanka) 6-3, 6-0. Boys’ Singles final: Pak Nicholas Ming (Singapore) beat Castigador Anthony (Philippines) 6-7, 6-2, 6-1.
