Royal College cruised through with a comfortable 33 points to 17 win over Wesley College in the their last Cup segment match of the Dialog School Rugby League tournament encounter played at the Havelock Park yesterday.
Royal having held on to a slender two point (14-12) lead at the breather made up their points through four goals and a try to a goal and two tries scored by Wesley.
The second half rally by Royal was too much for Wesley who conceded 19 points from two goals and a try to the solitary try by Wesley.
Royal made the first scoring in the third minute with centre Dinuka Perera going over for a try and Kavindu Perera converting.
Wesley scored an unconverted try through second row Yoshitha Shalom and seven minutes later surged ahead with flanker Liyam Onasisz going over for a try and fly half Ahyan Johar booting over the conversion.
But that was short-lived as Royal on the verge of the short whistle took the lead with a try scored by second row Kavindu Perera who also booted over the conversion as Royal led 14-12 at the breather.
