A subtle plan afoot to secure Top Team office?

There is a whisper going around in the Pohottuwa party these days that it is none but a section of the Pohottuwa  members with ties to the main office of the government blocking the new appointments to the Top Team, they say. 
Meanwhile, the Top Team office aspirants of Pohottuwa have reportedly complained to the party architect that their own party politicos close to Number One are responsible for their not getting the appointments. This charge is mainly directed at a Pohottuwa  politico elected from the Gampaha district and a party’s Diyawanna member, they say. 
They have already tried tactics even to have Number One cornered  in a bid to secure the Top Team office, but have failed, they say. 
The dejected high office aspirants have pointed out to the party high-ups that it is some treacherous  Pohottuwa politicos  who are now bent on destroying Pohottuwa and the latter have agreed, they say.  
Pohottuwa high-ups have now decided to adopt a subtle plan to gain their end, they say.
