Impose maximum punishment

It is a known fact that the former Health Minister has been named a suspect in procuring toxic medicines which were used on people. It was revealed before courts that the so-called medicine contained sodium chloride (which is salt) and another harmful bacteria. If these claims are proven the government should expedite maximum punishment on all perpetrators found guilty of this heinous crime. Already there are those who label the arrests of former ministers engaged in corruption as ‘political revenge’. Be it political revenge or otherwise, the incumbent government, under no circumstance should let go of such criminals. It would be a case of going back on their promises if lenient actions are being taken. There are those who already sympathise towards individuals such as Mervyn Silva who had been engaged in thuggery all his life. Kudos to the government for all their attempts in bringing these culprits to book!
